Inova Semiconductors GmbH
Inova Semiconductors GmbH is a Munich-based fabless semiconductor manufacturer. Founded in 1999 and specializing in the development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative Gigabit link solutions for serial data communication as well as Smart LED solutions for the automotive market. Their products and licensed technologies are sold worldwide directly and through a global network of distributors.
ISELED®
The Integrated Smart Embedded LED is a RGB LED with the LED driver chip combined into a single component. It provides color calibration of the RGB LED by the LED manufacturer, internal temperature compensation and storage of the individual calibration & compensation values within the RGB LED module. The technology integrates the bidirectional ISELED® communication protocol.
ILaS®
The ISELED Light and Sensor Network is INOVAs cable connectivity solution for ISELED RGB LEDs and Sensors. The 40V robust design meets automotive ESD and EMC requirements. It supports low power mode and wake-up signaling and is optimized for connectivity of LED-, sensor-, actuator-subsystems via unshielded twisted-pair cable. It comes with the enhanced bidirectional ILaS® communication protocol. The technology supports physically segmented daisy-chaining of up to 4079 LEDs.
Inova technology offers dynamic and functional lighting at highest speed with controllerless (no SW) subsystems. The Smart LEDs, Sensors and actors work on one „virtual bus“. Providing simple synchronization of light scenarios and total freedom of placing LEDs, sensors and actors anywhere throughout the car. The integrated DC/DC controller allows direct supply from the car battery. This leads to a significant reduction of weight, harness and cost.
APIX®
The Automotive Pixel Link is a high-speed, high-performance data transmission technology developed for the automotive industry, specifically for advanced in-car displays, camera systems, and infotainment systems. APIX technology enables fast and reliable communication between different electronic components within a vehicle, such as connecting cameras, sensors, and displays to central processing units or ECUs (Electronic Control Units). APIX3 technology supports transmissions of up to 6 Gbps over one shielded twisted pair (STP) cable and up to 12 Gbps over a quad twisted pair (QTP) connection. It ensures the transfer of video data, audio, and control signals with low latency and minimal power consumption, which is crucial for modern automotive applications, especially those related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), 360-degree cameras, and high-definition displays.
