AL, BMW make 2 + 2 = 7
Automotive Lighting have developed a technologically sophisticated new “2 + 2” LED rear lamp for the new BMW 7-series. The most important signal functions are realized in LED technology.
All LEDs are powered by a thin multi-wire flexboard already incorporating all the necessary electronics and ECU. The flexboard holds all the emitters for all functions of the lamp, Including for the logistically-challenging sidewall-mounted LEDs for the light guides. Each LED is laminated onto an aluminum carrier plate.
